Ready to Learn

RTL Happenings

Ready To Learn Service (RTL) connects with families to help their children enter elementary school on an even playing field with their peers.  Using curriculum-based materials with topics from science to art, Ready To Learn focuses on improving literacy skills that instill a lifelong love of learning.

The free monthly events listed below are sponsored by PBS North Coast's Ready To Learn Future Fund along with support from First5 Humboldt, Eureka Pediatrics, many community partners, and Viewers Like You!

Ready to Learn is happy to participate in community events such as First 5 family fairs, large community events, and preschool or elementary school family together times such as literacy and science nights. Anything that makes the point to our children that learning can be fun!

The events listed below all model the View, Read, and Do Learning Triangle approach to extending the learning of what children see on screen. They are free and open to the public plus each family/group leaves with a free storybook!
